“Through numbers, children don’t just count—they discover patterns, solve problems, and learn to think beyond limits.”– Anonymous
On 8th October 2024, the Nursery tiny tots of SAI Angan embarked on an exciting journey into the world of numbers during the highly engaging “Maths Maestros Marathon.” This fun-filled activity brought learning to life, as the little ones demonstrated their growing math skills by matching the number of dots to corresponding numbers on boxes. Their quick thinking, sharp accuracy, and enthusiastic participation made this a memorable event.
The “Maths Maestros Marathon” was not just an ordinary task—it was an innovative approach to fostering foundational math skills in an interactive and enjoyable way. Through this activity, students developed key early math concepts such as number recognition, counting, and matching, all while testing their speed and precision. The little learners eagerly embraced the challenge, showing remarkable focus and excitement as they completed their tasks.
However, the benefits of this marathon extended far beyond math alone. By working together, the children experienced the joy of teamwork, engaging in meaningful social interactions that promoted collaboration and communication. Additionally, the physically active nature of the task, which required moving between stations, supported their overall physical development and motor skills.
The lively atmosphere during the marathon reflected the importance of creating enjoyable, hands-on learning experiences that nurture 21st-century skills in young learners. These types of activities build a strong foundation for future learning, fostering curiosity, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities from an early age.
In conclusion, the Nursery students’ participation in the “Maths Maestros Marathon” was a delightful reminder of the value of integrating play with learning. By combining math, teamwork, and physical activity, the little ones not only strengthened their academic abilities but also developed important social and physical skills. At SAI Angan, we continue to strive for holistic education, where children learn by doing, playing, and exploring. The smiles on the students’ faces were a testament to the joy of learning, and we look forward to many more such enriching activities in the future.
