Janmashtami was celebrated at SAI Angan with joy, creativity and a strong sense of cultural connection as the young SAIoneers of Classes I, II and III explored the significance of Lord Krishna’s birth through engaging hands-on activities. The celebrations provided a wonderful opportunity for children to connect with Indian traditions while expressing themselves through art and creativity.

The young learners of Class I celebrated Janmashtami through a creative flute-making activity. Using colourful stickers, the children decorated their own flutes while learning about one of the most recognisable symbols associated with Lord Krishna. The activity encouraged creativity, teamwork and a spirit of togetherness, while reinforcing the values of unity, acceptance, peace and harmony.

For the SAIoneers of Class II, the festive spirit came alive through a vibrant Matki-Making Activity. With glitter, sequins, cotton and colourful embellishments, the children transformed simple matkis into beautiful festive creations. Alongside developing their creativity and fine motor skills, the activity helped them learn about the traditions associated with Janmashtami and the stories of Lord Krishna.

The celebration continued in Class III, where the young SAIoneers explored their creativity by making Krishna flutes and colourful Janmashtami cards. Through this activity, they gained a deeper understanding of the significance of the festival while expressing their artistic ideas and enjoying the festive spirit.

Across Classes I, II and III, Janmashtami became a joyful blend of culture, creativity and experiential learning. The activities encouraged children to appreciate traditions, work together and express themselves while discovering the stories and values associated with Lord Krishna.

With colourful creations, enthusiastic participation and joyful smiles, the young SAIoneers made Janmashtami a meaningful celebration, carrying forward not just the festive spirit but also the values of unity, kindness, friendship, peace and harmony.
