“Let the light of Diwali be a beacon for eco-conscious celebrations, where every spark of joy is crafted with creativity, and the glow of togetherness illuminates the path to a greener, more sustainable future.”- Anonymous
Diwali, the festival of lights, recently illuminated the halls of SAI Angan with a spirit of togetherness and eco-conscious celebrations. The little SAIoneers of Playgroup and Nursery set the tone by joyfully immersing themselves in the festivities. With an emphasis on ‘Celebrating Green Diwali,’ these young minds, filled with boundless enthusiasm, transformed their classes into vibrant spaces. Earthen diyas adorned with glitters and fireless Diwali sweets crafted by tiny hands showcased both creativity and a commitment to a more sustainable celebration.
Class-I SAIoneers embraced the ‘Go Green Diwali’ theme, infusing eco-friendliness into their celebrations. The corridors were adorned with vibrant rangoli designs, created with colorful flowers, adding a touch of nature to this traditional art form. In a thoughtful endeavor, students crafted awareness-spreading cards, highlighting the harmful effects of crackers and championing a cracker-free Diwali. This not only instilled a sense of environmental responsibility but also nurtured an understanding of celebrating festivals in harmony with nature.
The magic of Diwali reached new heights in the hands of the young SAIoneers of Class II. Infusing the corridors with artistic brilliance, they decorated the space with vibrant rangolis and handcrafted diyas, each a testament to their unique styles. The collaboration among these budding talents, amidst laughter and shared joy, made Diwali an exceptionally memorable celebration—a harmonious blend of creativity, cooperation, and the sheer delight of acquiring knowledge.
Class III SAIoneers, demonstrating a commitment to societal sustainability, engaged wholeheartedly in the art of painting diyas and crafting rangoli. Aligned with social skills and the Learning in Motion (LIM) habit of “Sharpen the Saw,” their initiative radiated eco-friendliness and festive joy. The emphasis on responsible celebration not only enriched the Diwali experience but also sowed the seeds of awareness and responsibility in the hearts of these young learners.
At SAI Angan, Diwali became more than a festival—it became an opportunity for the SAIoneers to weave together creativity, responsibility, and the joy of shared experiences. In celebrating the festival of lights, they illuminated not just their classrooms but also the path towards a more sustainable and mindful future.
