For children the educational benefits of visiting museums go beyond reinforcing the lessons they learn in school. Museums add depth to understanding and they open new worlds of interest. Museums enrich the lives of countless students, making the world a more enlightened place for the present and future generations. The students of Class – II were taken on a school outdoor trip to the “Regional Museum of Natural History”. The students were excited as they entered the first exhibit which was “Unique creations of nature”, where they learned about various animals from the African Black Rhinoceros to the Olive Ridley sea turtle. Exhibits showcased information about birds and different types of reptiles. The students were surprised to see the various skeletons that were put on display, which included the the gigantic baleen whale and elephant skeletons. As the tour came to a close, the students were treated to a fun filled movie in the amphitheatre. The trip was a grand success as all the students learnt so many new facts and witnessed the spectacular displays.
