Each activity at SAI Angan is meaningful and ensures optimal development of students by engaging them whole heartedly in learning activities. Through a thought provoking activity, students of Class-III learnt how different types of sentences are constructed for effective communication. Students were divided into different groups and assigned a task. Each group was asked to form four different types of sentences like state something, ask a question, expressed some emotion or gave an order. Students could complete the task successfully and were able to change the tone of sentences by switching out the punctuations. This activity helped them in strengthening their writing skills. Students also gained an in-depth understanding on the four types of sentences that are used in writing – declarative, exclamatory, imperative and interrogative as well as how each type is used in a specific situation and has its own punctuation mark.
