Every locality has a market place in its neighbourhood. These markets cater to our daily needs. Hence, it’s very important for the students to be aware of the different things available in the shop as well as in the local street vending zones. Along with the amenities, the people involved in selling various things are equally important for us.

The ongoing theme on ‘Our Neighbourhood’ encompasses different important places in and around our locality. The students of KG-I had an opportunity to have first-hand experience of buying things from a local market, in a lookalike set-up in our school. They enjoyed shopping with paytm, cards and even cash, all these were simulated by the teachers who acted as shopkeepers and vendors. This was indeed a fun-filled activity which made them aware that things can be purchased with or without physical cash.

So, this kind of activity not only helped the students to get aware of the things available in the market but also enhanced their inter-intra personal, visual and linguistic skills.
