“Play gives children a chance to practice what they are learning.” – Fred Rogers
This week at SAI Angan, our Nursery children delighted in an imaginative journey with the letter “Vv.” Through a story filled with “v” words like van, violet, vase, and vegetables, they eagerly engaged in identifying each sound. This phonics-rich adventure nurtured their confidence while introducing essential language skills in a joyful, memorable way.
To deepen their understanding, our young learners crafted beautiful vases using ice cream sticks, connecting the letter “Vv” to hands-on creativity and expression.
Learning Outcomes:
# Phonemic Awareness: Recognizing and articulating the “v” sound in various words.
# Vocabulary Development: Expanding vocabulary through interactive storytelling.
# Fine Motor Skills: Strengthening hand-eye coordination by creating vases with ice cream sticks.
# Confidence Building: Encouraging active participation and self-expression in a group setting.
# Artistic Exploration: Fostering creativity and an appreciation for art through a themed craft activity.
