IIM CASE STUDY

The ubiquitous Aves

Birds of all sizes, hues and colours seem to be present everywhere. Children love to watch the aves hoping and flying all around. Children enjoy learning about the world around them and making instant connections with familiar topic. So, when it came to learn about those beautiful creatures, they were very happy.

Children of Play Group learnt about the nesting habits of birds and even about the different species. They were shown flash cards of different species of birds, followed by some activities. The little ones were provided with cut outs of parrot, peacock, and owl and asked to colour those, which they did with lot of interest. Another activity was conducted where kids were asked to identify the birds. These activities enhanced their naturalistic, visual, inter and intra personal and fine motor skills.
