Healthy food leads to healthy life. With so many food choices available today, it is important to instil good eating habits from a young age. By learning the right food to eat, children can promote a lifetime of healthy living choices. Fruits and vegetables are full of nutrients. They help in the proper development of body and mind. There are plenty of games we can play to teach our kids all about fruits and healthy eating.
To make the students of Play Group aware of the importance of fruits in our diet, they were introduced to the various fruits through interesting activities. At the beginning, different types of flash cards of fruits were displayed in the class for the children to have a better idea. To make it more interactive, a sorting fun-filled activity was done. Later a salad making activity was also conducted, where the little ones could see the real fruits and relish its taste amidst friends. These activities enhanced their visual, naturalistic, inter/intra personal and fine motor skills.
