Teaching with Heart: Creating Happy Learning Spaces

Sometimes the simplest lessons create the deepest impact.” – Anonymous

At the heart of early education lies one powerful idea. Happiness matters. This idea came alive during the recent session by Suresh Srinivasan at the Indraprastha Auditorium of SAI International School.

For SAI Angan educators, the session was more than just a professional development opportunity. It was an experience filled with laughter, reflection and meaningful insight. From the very beginning, Mr. Srinivasan created an atmosphere where everyone felt relaxed and connected. His storytelling and humour made even profound ideas feel simple and accessible.

One of the most impactful takeaways was the concept of letting go. Letting go of stress, comparison and the constant need for perfection. He explained how these factors often affect not just teachers but also young learners. By choosing to release these pressures, educators can create a more nurturing and joyful environment. He also shared practical examples of how happiness can be integrated into everyday teaching. Whether it is through small moments of appreciation, patience or simply maintaining a positive outlook, these actions shape a child’s early learning experience.

The session beautifully aligned with the philosophy of SAI Angan, where the foundation of learning is built on care, warmth and joy. It reminded every educator present that children learn best when they feel happy and secure. As the laughter settled and the session came to a close, what remained was a renewed commitment. A commitment to not only teach but to nurture happiness in every little learner, every single day.
