Guru Bramha, Guru Vishnu, Guru Deva Maheswara,
Guru Saakshat Param Brahma, Tasmai Sree Guruve Namah.
Guru is the representative of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. He creates, sustains knowledge and destroys the weeds of ignorance.
Teachers and the teaching profession contribute more to the future of a nation than all the other professions put together. Since time immemorial, India has paid due respects to this creed known as ‘Guru’. In fact, in the Rig Veda, a Guru has been equated to the Supreme Being. India honours this creed on September 5 every year, the birth anniversary of the second President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a great philosopher, an excellent educationist and a true humanist.
To salute such Gurus, the students of Class II conducted a special assembly on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 in the SAI Angan auditorium. The assembly started with the morning prayer followed by children sharing of thoughts by Dr. Sarvepali Radhakrishnan and a speech to show gratitude to all the teachers.
The most awaited part of the assembly was the dance by the girls, all beautifully dressed in red. It was indeed mesmerizing to watch the brilliant performance of the students. The students presented small ‘Thank You’ cards to all the teachers, as a token of their love.
It was a morning buzzing with sheer excitement, hustle bustle and giggles all over as the students walked up and down the corridors wishing the Teachers with bright smile on their faces. Along with the heartfelt wishes, the love and respect for their Teachers was clearly evident in every student’s eyes.
