IIM CASE STUDY

Story Telling

Children love stories. Every child enjoys it for different reasons. It takes them to a magical world. Stories are perhaps the best way to help a child explore, express, understand emotions. It also helps in problem-solving as well as enhances their literacy skills.
The children of KG-I had a wonderful time listening to the story “The cap seller and the monkeys” in the story session “Spin a yarn”. It was followed by an enactment involving each child along with props. There was a role play where students enacted the character of cap seller and the monkeys which were thoroughly enjoyed by the students. The “Spin a yarn” session thus helps in boosting the confidence level and enhancing the linguistic, cognitive and kinesthetic skills of the children.
