Floating and sinking is a fun science concept for children to explore as they love playing with water and learn all about the density of the objects at the same time.

Various objects ranging from leaves, paper boat, straw, ice cream sticks, key and lock, eraser, sharpener, pencil, wooden letter, cotton balls were put into a tub filled with water for students of KG I to observe. While some floated, some got immersed and this ignited the curiosity of the children.

The discussion proceeded to the science behind the sinking and floating of objects, which was thoroughly enjoyed by the students. This hands-on experiment their linguistic, visual, interpersonal skills.
