October 22, 2022, marked a splendid morning as the little ones of SAI Angan walked into the school holding hands of their Grandparents’ with great pride and love. The wrinkled eyes of the grandparents were full of emotions and love. The grandeur of the entire celebration was overwhelming. SAIoneers dedicated beautiful songs and dances and ushered their love to their grandparents. The activity of crafting a card with potatoes and paints, got the grandparents high on energy and made them participate lovingly with their little ones. They came up with beautiful and uniquely designed Diwali cards and walked the ramp with children holding the cards. More than 200 hundred families participated in this mega event.
Speaking on the event the grandparents were highly appreciative of the concept that brought the family together passing on the legacy of love and togetherness. “It was an amazing event organized by SAI International for the grandparents, it made my grandchildren spend some quality time with us”, said a grandfather at the celebrations.
“This event should be celebrated on a bigger platform by the school so that the world learns the values India possesses”, said a grandmother at the Grandparents’ Day celebration.
Speaking at the ceremony Director Academics & Senior Principal of SAI International, Shri Nilakantha Panigrahi said, “It’s so wonderful to see such happy faces of the grandparents and the children. Grandparents are a family’s greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the greatest storytellers, the keepers of traditions and family’s strong foundation. Through their special love and care, grandparents keep a family close at heart. To honour grandparents and celebrate & bonding towards their grandchildren, the Pre-Primary wing of SAI International celebrates Grand Parents Day each year. Our Founder- Chairman Dr. Bijaya Kumar Sahoo always emphasised on family values and traditions and hence developed this concept of celebrating Grandparents’ Day in School.
