“Watching a child makes it obvious that the development of his mind comes through his movements.” – Maria Montessori
Fine motor skill is the coordination of small muscles in movements, usually involving the synchronization of hands and fingers with the eyes. Among the various fine motor skills, the little blossoms of Play Group learnt how to make roti with dough.
They were given flour dough which was made by the teachers, circular rolling board (chakla) and rolling pin (belan). The little ones put the dough on the circular rolling board and tried to make roti with rolling pin. The kids were keen observers and fast learners. They tried their best to make the right rotis and were very happy to see the output. This activity helped in improving their fine motor, intra and inter personal skills.
