“The more you read, the more things you know. The more that you learn, the more places that you go.” – Dr.Seuss
Library is an important source of knowledge and provides student a healthy environment for learning. It gives access to a wide range of materials and helps develop reading habits in student.
The brimming buddies of KG ll were involved in reading books in the school library. They read books on “phonetics”, which included the process of arm blending. The students were excited enough as they were able to blend the words and read short stories on their own. This helped them to gain confidence as they were able to distinguish the difference between the sounds of oral language. This activity helped in enhancing their vocabulary, phonemic awareness, knowledge of alphabet, letter-sound correlation and comprehension.
