Raksha Bandhan

The bonding between a brother and a sister is simply unique and beyond description. The relationship between siblings is given importance in every part of the world. However, when it comes to India, the relationship becomes all the more important as there is a festival called “Raksha Bandhan” dedicated to celebrate the wonderful relationship between a brother and sister.

This is a special Hindu festival which is celebrated all across the Country and in some parts of Nepal.  The occasion of Raksha Bandhan is observed on the full moon day of the Hindu luni-solar calendar in the month of Shravana which typically falls in the August month.

At SAI International School, value-education is given utmost importance. An Assembly on Raksha Bandhan was conducted by Students of Class -II to help the children learn about the festival and know the value of relationship and love among the brother and sister
