“Safety first is safety always.” – Charles M. Hayes
On January 20, 2025, the young learners of Playgroup at SAI Angan stepped into the heroic shoes of firefighters during an engaging role-play activity on fire safety. This hands-on session highlighted the importance of protecting lives while fostering curiosity and critical life skills in an interactive and enjoyable manner.
Learning Fire Safety Through Role-Play
The activity brought the concept of fire safety to life as one child enthusiastically portrayed a firefighter, demonstrating the use of a hosepipe. The learners observed and learned about essential safety tools, such as fire extinguishers and hose pipes, installed on the school premises.
Adding to the excitement, the children practiced rescuing friends by covering them with blankets, imitating protective actions in fire emergencies. This engaging exercise not only deepened their understanding of fire safety but also built confidence in responding to challenging situations.
Building Skills Through Hands-On Exploration
Through this immersive activity, the learners developed essential 21st-century skills, including visual learning, interpersonal communication, fine motor coordination, and kinesthetic abilities. The combination of fun and learning ensured that the children were actively engaged while building a foundation for critical thinking and teamwork.
At SAI Angan, we are committed to empowering young minds with practical knowledge and life skills that go beyond the classroom. By integrating meaningful lessons into playful activities, we aim to nurture confident, capable, and well-rounded individuals.
