Life is about using the whole box of crayons. — RuPaul
Colouring has an important place in a child’s development and can easily be incorporated into a child’s day. It provides an opportunity to practice and develop many skills such as concentration, fine motor, coordination for early writing skills and correct finger grip. One of the most important aspect of colouring is, it develops hand strength. Colouring gives a child the opportunity to stimulate the creative centers in their mind. When a child is engaged in colouring, their mind is filled with different interpretations and imaginations. Various colours enhance their self expression. Being able to express what they feel also boosts a child’s emotional intelligence.
At SAI Angan the playgroup children practiced free hand colouring with crayons within the given boundaries of the picture or in a chart paper today, February 11, 2019. The practice enhances fine motor, naturalistic and visual skills.
