Odd and even numbers

“You have to be odd to be number one.” – Dr. Seuss

A number is a mathematical object used to count and measure. The numbers which can be divided into two equal parts are even numbers. All the numbers ending with 0, 2, 4, 6 and 8 are known as even numbers. The numbers which cannot be divided into two equal parts are odd numbers. All the numbers ending with 3, 5, 7 and 9 are odd numbers.

Today Class II children have done one activity related to ‘Odd and even numbers. They wrote their favorite 3-digits number in a mystery card and asked one of their friends from another group whether the number is odd or even. Every child participated and extracted answers from their friends.

Our SAIoneers have enjoyed the activity fully with great enthusiasm. They understood the concept nicely and actively participated. They are also visualized with the help of some real-life objects like fingers in our one hand, eyes, nose, ears are also related to odd and even.
