National Festival – Independence Day

“Festivals promote diversity, they bring neighbours into dialogue, they increase creativity, they offer opportunities for civic pride, they improve our general psychological well-being.” – David Binder

Independence Day is one of the most important National Festivals in our country. On this day, we celebrate with pride the years of Independence we have had and thank the leaders of our nation and freedom fighters for all their contribution in our freedom struggle. To make the children aware of the legendary freedom struggle of India, a small video about its importance was shown to them and facts about the day were shared.

As we all know, learning is the product of the activity of learners. A small activity was conducted where the kids made a tricolour hand fan using orange, white and green coloured papers. They made the hand fan as instructed. All the kids could feel the patriotism and their happiness knew no bound. They celebrated utilisation and enrichment of their skill and were eager to do another fun activity in class again. The session was interactive, fun and creatively exciting for the little kids.
