“Being a family means you are a part of something very wonderful. It means you will love and be loved for the rest of your life.” – Lisa Weed
Children need to learn the importance of family and how family helps in building future. Children depend on parents and family to protect them and look after their needs. A child’s learning and socialisation are most influenced by the family since it is the child’s primary social group. The emotional, physical, social, intellectual development of a child is enhanced through the love and support of a family.
Keeping in view the importance of family, children of Play Group were provided with a scrap book with a tree drawn on it. They were also given the photographs of their family members and asked to make a Family Tree. The children created their own family tree with utmost dedication.
This activity was a great way for the children to learn about the importance of family and who are the persons that make a family. This activity enhanced their visual and naturalistic intelligence as well as their eye-hand coordination.
