“God could not be everywhere, and therefore he made mothers.” – Rudyard Kipling
Mothers are the foundation of joy in their children’s lives. Their love, care, and sacrifices deeply influence their children and cultivate a nurturing family environment. At SAI International School, we profoundly honor and celebrate motherhood.
On Saturday, June 29, 2024, SAIoneers from Playgroup to Class III weaved heartfelt memories by participating in the Mother’s Day celebration held at the Indraprastha Auditorium. The event, following the theme “Mātā sarva sukha pradam,” saw an overwhelming participation of students and their mothers, embracing the spirit of gratitude and appreciation.
The celebration began with a warm welcome and a series of heartwarming presentations. Students expressed their love for their mothers through poem recitations, song dedications, and lively dance performances, filling the auditorium with emotions and joy.
A highlight of the event was the engaging activity “Mom’s Fabric Revival,” where mothers and children collaborated to design dresses by upcycling old garments. This creative endeavor not only fostered a sense of community but also promoted sustainable fashion practices, aligning with SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) and SDG 13 (Climate Action). The activity emphasized the importance of reusing materials, thereby instilling principles of environmental stewardship in the young minds.
The sight of mothers and children working together, sharing laughs, and creating beautiful designs was truly heartwarming. The retro attire added a glamorous touch to the celebration, enhancing the overall festive spirit.
At SAI Angan, Mother’s Day is more than just a celebration; it is an opportunity to instill gratitude, empathy, and thoughtfulness in our students. Witnessing the young learners bond with their mothers through these activities was a blissful experience. Such events are instrumental in nurturing strong family bonds and promoting a culture of appreciation and respect.
We look forward to more such joyous celebrations, where students and parents come together to create lasting memories and strengthen their bonds.
