Means of Communication

“The most important thing in communication is to hear what isn’t being said.” – Anonymous

Sharing of ideas and information to all over the world is very much important. From the period of early humans, till now, communication is being done in many ways. They used to make sounds and burn fire to communicate. We got the information through many mediums like print media or broadcast media in the modern world. Apart from these we use letters, phones, mails or face to face discussions to share our views with our family and friends. Due to audio- visuals aids like T.V, smartphones and digital boards, it is much easier and accessible for all to know what is happening around the world by sitting at one place.

The children of Class III did a hands-on activity of making magazines, smart phones , envelopes and T. V. with chart papers and colours. The students showed interest while doing the activity. They were able to differentiate between new personal communication and mass communication. The activity helped them get involved in Origami making – the art of paper folding while making envelopes, making icons of smartphones, structure of T.V. and magazine etc. It was a knowledge gaining activity for everyone.
