IIM CASE STUDY

Maths: Numbers

“Everything around you is numbers.” – Shakuntala Devi

A number is a basic unit of mathematics. Numbers are used for counting, measuring and comparing amounts. Numbers can be represented in language with number words.

Today Class II children have done the revision for the topic “Numbers”. They listened to a story from teachers. After that, they drew a picture based on the story. Students identified all the nouns and parts of plants visible in their drawing. They compared between the number of nouns and parts of plants visible there. Students also represented a number of chocolates, told in story, by using Abacus and also wrote the name of that particular number. From this activity children also learnt Noun and Parts of plants.

Finally, our SAIoneers understood how different subjects are interrelated and got a clear idea about different concepts.
