‘The mask is carved and given an expression or markings to reveal something, even though it is shielding the face.’ – Dave McKean
The Class I members of the Mask Club learnt how to make different types of masks and use them in different types of stories, during their weekly club classes held on Saturday, July 25, 2020. They enacted the story ‘The three little piglets’ and ‘The jungle book’.
Kids made masks resembling different animals like pig, piglet, wolf, Bagheera and Baloo. They happily showed their masks to everyone, followed by acting the characters. They even modulated their voice to suit each character. It was fun watching the bunch of enthusiastic and energetic kids doing what they like most.
Earlier, on Saturday, July 18, 2020, the members learnt about voice modulation and its importance. They also learnt how to use different voice modulations for the same character. It was followed by the students performing a story with different voice modulation.
