Mask Club Performance

Masks have been used since ancient times for both ceremonial and practical purposes, as well as in the performing arts and also for entertainment.

Introducing the Mask Club members of Class III, RJ Aditya from the Radio Orange Club explained that the Ancient Greek actors used comedy and tragedy theatre mask to depict emotions clearly to the entire audience.

The little artists of the Mask Club showcased an outstanding performance on the famous drama “Tenali Rama”. It was an Indian historical comedy drama based on the life of the legendary Telugu poet Tenali Ramakrishna, one of the Ashtadiggajas (or the eight honourable) poets at the court of Vijayanagara Emperor Krishnadevaraya, who used his sharp wit and wisdom to solve complicated matters quickly.

The stage was all set and everything seemed to be perfect, the costumes, the dialogues, the sound and the music. The audience thoroughly enjoyed the performance.
