In order to make the students comfortable in their new setting,we began their English class by giving them worksheets based on their prior knowledge. An interesting activity on Consonant Vowel Consonant (CVC) words was conducted in the class, where students were asked to make CVC words with short vowel sounds (‘a’ , ‘e’ , ‘i’ , ‘o’ ,’u’) in the middle, in the Letter Cards. They thoroughly enjoyed the activity and came up with some new words. They also read interesting poems on each vowel sound. This activity based class helped them to raise their confidence along with enhancing their linguistic, logical , inter and intra personal skills.
