Talking about transportation is important for the language development and general knowledge of children. New born babies till they start walking steadily are dependent on their parents to carry them around. They hop into their little strollers and travel the city with their parents guiding them.

As soon as they start getting older, children start playing with toy cars, learning how to drive through their houses, which turn out to be a great exercise for their spatial awareness. As they reach a certain age, tri cycles and then bicycles are the way to go for many kids that wish to set out on adventures with family and friends.

The students of Play Group were introduced to traffic rules through various activities. Children were asked to paste wheels on cut outs of car and, colour the bus. Traffic lights were placed on the room and children were briefed about the importance of traffic rules. They were then asked to move the vehicles following the rules. These activities enhanced their naturalistic, inter and intra personal, fine motor skills.
