The children of KG-II had a Jigsaw puzzle competition in which they had to assemble oddly shaped interlocking pieces. Jigsaw puzzles help in challenging the thinking and exercising the young minds. Children were given puzzles containing different pictures. Each piece had a small part of a picture on it; and when complete, a Jigsaw puzzle produces a complete picture. Children took a lot of interest in doing this as it was an individual activity. Whosoever completed assembling all the pieces first correctly, won the competition. This activity helped students to enhance their cognitive skills, self esteem, eye and hand coordination and fine motor development.
