Ignited Minds Club Performance

Debates provide experiences that help in the development of cognitive and presentational skills. It provides the debaters with unique educational benefits as they learn and polish skills far beyond what can be learnt in any other setting.

The Ignited Minds Club members of Class I debated on the topic “Should we have pets at home? …yes? or …no? It is believed that people who keep pets are known to be good in their social relations. Kids who grow up with pets in home are always respectful towards fellow beings. Keeping a dog in home is especially good as they also double up as caretakers. No burglar alarm can be better than a dog in home.

RJ Satvik from Radio Orange introduced the topic with great confidence. The debaters showcased outstanding debating skills, putting across their view with great confidence. While a few students spoke in favour of the topic and a few spoke against it. The debate was engaging, active, learner-centred activity and was highly effective as the students of both the groups expressed their views and thoughts carefully. The activity helped in improving learners’ ability, kindness in behaviour and humanity for all living beings.
