“The garden suggests there might be a place where we can meet nature halfway.” — Michael Pollan
Garden is a piece of ground adjourning a house, which is used for growing flowers, fruits or vegetables. The tiny tots of Nursery were explained all about garden and its importance. They learnt that without garden we cannot eat, drink, or breathe.
The children were taken for a garden walk with paper bags in which they collected twigs, pebbles, flowers, dry leaves etc. They saw different types of plants, shrubs, leaves and flowers. They came to know that it is a home to many insects like butterfly, snail, earthworm, caterpillar, ladybug etc. They also met the gardener responsible for nurturing the plants.
After coming back from garden walk the children created their own garden in class. They thoroughly enjoyed the garden them.
