Food items of India

India is highly regarded across the world for its fine, vibrant and energetic cuisine. It is also famous for its use of herbs, spices and specific recipes since time immemorial. India is also known for its diversity when it comes to food. Each State has its own recipes.

Students of Class III learnt about the diversity of Indian food during an activity. It started with a presentation, showcasing food items from different states, followed by an open discussion. Students were divided into groups according to the regions of the country and were provided with a Paper. They were asked to draw, colour and name the famous food items from their respective regions.

Students carried on the activity with great enthusiasm reflecting the power of team spirit. Their output spoke volumes of their in-depth knowledge and also the effect of visual communication over oral communication.
