“Knowledge without action is useless and irrelevant.” – Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam
The more we do an activity, the more we gain experience. The young brains should be exposed to different activities which help them in developing their multisensory skills.
To cultivate their interest and help the students to understand the Solar System, an activity was conducted for students of KG II. Orbits were drawn on the floor in the school auditorium and models of eight planets were hung around the student’s neck. They arranged themselves according to their position near the sun. Children were instructed to rotate around the sun clockwise and anti-clockwise. In this way they learnt about the different position of each planet around the Sun and that the huge ball of fire at the centre is the head of the family.
