“Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather.” – John Ruskin
Weather is so fascinating! Every human being, animals, plants and each little thing in the world is exposed to different kinds of weather. Some people like a particular weather, some people also dislike a particular weather, but everyone has their own favourite weather.
Children of KG-II learnt about different kinds of weather and particularly about the Sunny weather through a small activity. They went out of their classroom and got a feel of the sunny rays in the Atrium. Some of them took the help of umbrellas to protect themselves from the harsh rays of the sun, while some children wanted to feel it. Some of them wore sun glasses and caps to make sure that the sun rays don’t hurt their skins.
The children even made sunglass craft and wore it. They also had a gala time holding the cut outs of various fruits, ice creams etc savoured during summer. This activity helped in enhancing their fine motor, visual, interpersonal and naturalistic skills.
