Our universe is filled with varieties of creatures and our childhood is the best time to admire all creepy crawlies. The Nursery children learnt about various insects and their habitats. Several activities like march to the garden, exploring the insects present in the garden and watching their way of living, were conducted to make the learning a joyful one.

The children enthusiastically explored some ant hills where ants live, patiently watched how spiders weave their webs, observed ladybugs sitting on blooming flowers and plants, etc. Later on they created beautiful pictures of insects by filling colours and sticking colour papers and sands in the outlines provided to them. These activities inculcated naturalistic skills in them by creating an awareness of their environment and its beauty. It also helped them in building vocabulary skills and enhancing  gross motor skills.
