“The mind is not a vessel to be filled but a fire to be kindled.” — Plutarch
On 14 May 2025, the kindergarten educators of SAI Angan came together for an enriching in-house workshop titled “Nurturing Cognitive and Non-Cognitive Brilliance.” This thoughtfully designed session aimed to deepen their understanding of the evolving emotional and intellectual needs of young learners.
The workshop spotlighted the importance of balancing academic learning with emotional growth, reinforcing that both are essential to a child’s development. Educators engaged in joyful, experiential activities such as “Trace & Guess,” “Memory Dance,” “Balloon Balance,” and “Peekaboo”—each designed to reveal how memory, movement, and play enhance cognitive retention and socio-emotional connections.
What emerged was a powerful reaffirmation of the role of playful learning, patience, and positive reinforcement in shaping confident, curious, and cooperative children. The session served not just as a training, but as a gentle reminder that learning in the early years must be as joyful as it is purposeful.
The educators left the workshop re-energized, brimming with creative ideas and strategies to design lessons that spark not only the mind, but also the heart. At SAI Angan, every child’s journey begins with teachers who are empowered, empathetic, and ever-evolving.
