A Sacred Beginning: Young SAIoneers of Class-II embarked on a memorable class trip to the revered Gurudwara.
Warm Greetings: They embraced the occasion with respect, extending a heartfelt “Sat Sri Akal” greeting, which signifies “God is truth.”
Discovering Guru Nanak: The students delved into the life of Guru Nanak, known as Baba Nanak, whose birthday is celebrated worldwide as Guru Nanak Gurupurab.
Rich Traditions and Rituals: They eagerly learned about the Gurudwara’s rich traditions and rituals, including the significance of the Langer system – a free communal kitchen, and the importance of “Sangat” – the gathering of people to pray and reflect in the presence of the Guru Granth Sahib.
Embracing “Seva”: The students were introduced to the concept of “Seva,” an integral part of Sikh worship, emphasizing selfless service to others.
The Ten Gurus: An overview of the ten Gurus of Sikhism enriched their understanding of this venerable faith.
