“Without a sense of caring, there can be no sense of community.” – Anthony J D’Angelo
A community helper is a professional who helps us with our health and overall well-being. They play an important role in keeping our community safe and healthy. Community helpers include doctors, nurses, dentists, teachers, farmers, chefs, bakers, police, bus drivers, fire fighters, plumbers and many more.
To make the children of Kindergarten learn about community helpers, their contribution and their importance in our life, a gamut of activities were conducted. Students were taken on an organised field trip to Fire Station as well as on a School tour where they got to meet different school helpers such as security guards, office boys, cafeteria boys, bus drivers & helpers, gardeners. The eager students interacted with them and observed them doing their duty. They were also made to role play the role of a doctor, policeman and teacher to get an in-depth knowledge.
These activities help children to develop their Inter and Intra-personal, linguistic, kinesthetic, visual and naturalistic skills.
