Celebrating New Beginnings: Play Group Learners Return with Joy

Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.” — William Butler Yeats

On October 17, 2024, the Play Group learners at SAI Angan returned from their much-anticipated vacation, filling the classroom with excitement and energy. The little ones were thrilled to reunite with their friends and teachers, eagerly sharing stories of their adventures during the break. This joyful atmosphere set the stage for a day filled with learning and connection.
To ease back into the routine, the teachers recapped key concepts learned before the vacation. This gentle transition allowed students to refresh their memories while preparing for new discoveries. The highlight of the day was a hands-on activity where students engaged in “cutting” fruits and vegetables using dummy models. This interactive experience not only made learning fun but also enhanced their fine motor skills and visual recognition.
In addition to these activities, the introduction of the letter ‘M’ sparked curiosity among the young learners. They explored words and objects that begin with this letter, promoting cognitive engagement and expanding their vocabulary. The playful and nurturing environment facilitated socio-emotional connections, encouraging children to express their thoughts and feelings as they interacted with their peers.
The warm and welcoming atmosphere of the classroom fostered both cognitive development and interpersonal skills, making the return to school a truly enriching experience. As the Play Group learners embarked on this new chapter, they were reminded that every day is an opportunity for exploration and growth.
At SAI Angan, we are committed to nurturing young minds through engaging and interactive activities that lay the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.
