On May 12, 2026, a well-planned and insightful workshop on Fitness and Food was conducted for Pre-Primary educators by Mrs. Anita Samantaray, focusing on the importance of personal well-being and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
The session highlighted the significance of balanced nutrition and regular physical activity in a teacher’s daily routine. Mrs. Samantaray explained how mindful food choices positively influence energy levels, concentration, and overall health, enabling educators to perform their roles more effectively. Teachers were guided through simple fitness movements and exercises that can be easily incorporated into their everyday lives as well as classroom practices. These activities emphasised posture, flexibility, stress relief, and overall fitness, making them practical and sustainable.
The workshop also shed light on essential healthy habits such as proper hydration, mindful eating, adequate rest, and stress management. Teachers were encouraged to adopt and model these practices, recognising their role in shaping students’ understanding of health and well-being. The session was highly interactive, with educators actively participating, reflecting, and sharing ideas on how to integrate fitness and healthy food awareness into both their personal routines and teaching methods.
Overall, the workshop was informative, engaging, and motivating. It reinforced the idea that when teachers prioritise their well-being, they create a positive and energetic learning environment, making it a truly enriching experience for all participants.
