“I need the seasons to live to the rhythm of rain and sun.” – Sophie Marceau
India is highly regarded across the world for its fine and vibrant attires. It is also famous for its ensemble since time immemorial. India is also known for its diversity when it comes to clothes. Each State has its own habiliments.
To inculcate the importance of clothes, an activity was conducted for the students of Nursery. They were asked to experience and explore the various seasons like summer, monsoon and winters and the clothes they prefer wearing during the time. Students had a gala time in sorting the cut-outs of dress and affixed them on the scrap book. It was quite amusing to see the students stand under an umbrella or wear a raincoat to symbolize monsoon or wear woollens to symbolize winter or don a cap and wear black glasses along with light cotton clothes to get rid of the sweltering heat of summer.
Activity of such kind helps in enhancing the naturalistic and fine motor skills as well as help in building vocabulary skills.
