“When everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it.” – Henry Ford
Air transport is the fastest and costliest means of transport. Making kids aware about transportation is important for enhancing their general knowledge as well as language development.
An activity was conducted for the students of KG I on the theme “Air Transport”. Students learnt about modes of travel like helicopter, hot air balloon, airplane, rocket, spaceship etc. A mock airport scenario was created in the classroom with aerodrome, runway, security and passengers. Students were excited to experience how to buy airline tickets, boarding passes, check in baggage at security point etc. It was a great learning experience for the little ones.
The activity was complemented by a ‘Paper Rocket’ activity which helped the students to enhance their visual, linguistic and kinesthetic skills. It was learning through a play-way method.
