Learning Activities immensely help students to develop their understanding skills and build fluency. Students of Class – III learnt about addition and subtraction through examples along with activities. Addition and subtraction is all about being able to add/take away numbers. During the activity children picked up flash cards and arranged the numbers with their plus or minus signs, with an attitude to solve by analyzing which operation was to be used first. Then they solved the problem by doing it stepwise and independently. This activity helped the students to develop skills like critical thinking, problem solving and analytical thinking. At the end of the lesson students were able to understand how to solve and the importance of both the signs.
