Learning outside the confines of classroom has its own charm. It offers students an opportunity to interact with classmates and teachers in a more informal environment. Students of Class-I went on a field trip to Parle Biscuit factory, where they got a chance to watch the production of biscuits, right from the ingredients used to kneading to mixing to shaping to baking. They even got to taste the freshly baked biscuits. During their visit they also learnt about the different ingredients used and the source from which it is taken, like from plants or animals. The excited students were also taken to the auditorium of the factory and shown a small documentary capturing the whole process of production, right from mixing to packaging, of the oldest biscuit company of the country. The students were excited to see the process of production of one of their main food item, simultaneously they also got to know the food value of biscuits in a better way. The trip helped students develop their linguistic, logical, naturalistic as well as inter and intra personal skill. Field trips help students to broaden their educational experience, exposes them to world outside their own, help them gain deeper understanding through observation as well as make them more tolerant and understanding.
