IIM CASE STUDY

Spectrum Club

“Science is a way of thinking much more than it is a body of knowledge” – Carl Sagan

Today in Spectrum Club, children of Class II and III have created a model and some experiments like magic ink, balloon hovercraft, Jack-O-Cano. Children made a wonderful model by using dough, tissue paper, magnifying glass, bowl of water, card and tape which shows the depicting vision by the human eye. After that, the young scientists have created a pumpkin-cano with baking soda, vinegar, food colour and water. They also experimented and explained that by using a balloon, a bottle cap, and an old CD a hovercraft can be created which works by forcing air out beneath it, creating a cushion of air to float on. At the end, our SAIoneers explained how one can write secret messages by applying heat and using lemon juice.

Our SAIoneers have enjoyed the activity fully with great enthusiasm. Through all these activities they became quite confident in conducting experiments in the spectrum club.
