“Vaccines save lives , fear endangers them”- It is a simple message everyone needs to keep hearing. – Jeffrey Kluger
It is well said that “prevention is better than cure”.
Vaccination is one of the most effective public health interventions in the world for saving lives and promoting good health. The history of the control of infectious disease reflects the balance between our understanding of the nature of infection, the mechanisms of host resistance and the available technology to deliver an intervention. However, behind this ‘biomedical’ construct lies a deeper set of issues which embody serendipity, public understanding, and population-based intervention and its acceptability by the wider community.
To discuss the importance of vaccination the students of Class I, II and III participated enthusiastically. Each one of them was spotlighted to interact and share their views. It was a beautiful experience for everyone to listen and watch the SAIoneers to talk confidently on the issue. It is the most refreshing feeling to hear our little ones share their thoughts and ideas. This knowledgeable session for the students ended with lots of fun.
