“I love shopping. There is a little bit of magic found in buying something new. It is constant gratification, a quick fix.” –Rebecca Bloom
In math, money can be defined as the medium of exchange such as notes and coins to buy any items.
SAIoneers of Class II have done an activity related to ‘let us go shopping’. They used grocery item packet like chips, biscuits, tea packet, wheat flour packet, cookies packet etc and duplicate money used for the project purpose. Children were divided into two groups, one group became shopkeeper and the other group acted as a buyer, through the medium of role play our shopping center was well set up. A child from one group selected an item to purchase from the other group and showed the amount required for that item, while the other child showed the amount which he needed to return (if extra amount paid). Our enthusiast learners were enjoying their independent shopping trip, and the virtual class made way to a virtual store.
Through this activity our SAIoneers became quite confident about shopping and they can use this concept whenever they will go out with their parents to buy some items.
