Space and heavenly bodies have always fascinated children. Endless questions boggle their tiny brain on seeing the vast space dotted with innumerable celestial bodies. To help them understand the Solar System, an activity was conducted for Class-III students. Students got to learn about the power of Sun which is the source of energy, light and heat in the Solar System. They also learnt about the unique features of each planet.Students were divided into groups and asked to draw, colour and label the eight plants on chart papers. They were also asked to write the specialties of each planet, which helped them to enhance their fine motor and eye hand coordination, creativity with divergent thinking, imagination and team work as well as leadership skills.
