“It is an art to experiment and learn and unlearn at the same time.” – Anonymous
We use soap to kill the germs of our body and to keep ourselves fresh. In the markets, we get different varieties of soap but have we ever wondered which soap is actually good for our skin?
The children of Class I of Spectrum Club did the activity to test which soap is good for our skin. They did the activity with varieties of soaps and turmeric. Some soap solution when added with turmeric water, turned reddish brown due to the basic nature of soap which indicates that it is not good for our skin and some soap solutions when added with turmeric water did not change colour of turmeric water it is due to the presence of citric acid which helps to remove dust and germs without making our skin dry.
This activity helped the students to see the experiments unfold in front of their eyes and had a gala time during the session. They thoroughly enjoyed learning something new and experiencing the change themselves. It was a truly fruitful session.
